Current Projects

To the customers of Chalk Bluff Water Supply:

Starting around January 6, 2020 we are in the process of replacing and upgrading a failing water main line located on the river side (Southside) of Greenwood Drive, with new line starting East of the Intersection of Greenwood Drive and Idlewood and going to the end of Brazos Ridge Trail.  The Contractor that won the bid is Olson Construction Services.  The total project is to be bored with the least amount of digging as possible.  We are replacing the existing 2 ½ to 1 ½ PVC Main Line with a 4” Poly Line, along with a new Main Line, all water meters, meter boxes, meter stops and meter regulators will be installed on this project.  Please bare with us during this very needed project. DURING CONSTRUCTION, FOR THE SAFETY OF THE WORKERS AND RESIDENTS, WE ARE ASKING TO PLEASE PRACTICE ALL CAUTIONS AS GREENWOOD DRIVE IS VERY NARROW.

Any questions please call the office at 254-799-1268 or Manager Barry Hand at 254-709-8889.

Thank you for your cooperation from the Board of Directors and Staff of Chalk Bluff Water Supply Corporation.

After the Greenwood Drive water line replacement contract is complete the contractor will be moving to Buster Chatham Road to install approximately 3,300 foot of a 4 inch line starting just East of Beverly Cox Drive on the Northside of Buster Chatham Rd and going West.  This line is being added to the system to assure flow requirements as required by TCEQ and to have a water line on the North side of Buster Chatham Road in this area to have a looped line and to eventually be able to cancel out existing road crossings to meters in this area.  This project was practically funded with money put in a construction account by customers selling properties on River Bend Lane and Buster Chatham Road.  This line will be bored with a minimal amount of digging to complete the project. (WITH BUSTER CHATHAM ROAD BEING SO NARROW WE ARE ASKING ALL TRAVELING ON BUSTER CHATHAM ROAD DURING THIS PROJECT TO PLEASE PRACTICE CAUTION TO PROTECT WORKERS AND CUSTOMERS)

Any questions please call the office at 254-799-1268 or the Manager, Barry Hand at 254-709-8889.

Thank you for cooperation from the Board of Directors and Staff of Chalk Bluff Water Supply Corporation.

New Radio Read Water Meter Installations

Subject: Important Update: New Radio-Read Water Meters Installation

Dear CBWSC,

We’re upgrading your water service! To provide you with more accurate, efficient, and convenient service, Chalk Bluff Water Supply Corporation is installing new radio-read water meters across our service area.

What This Means for You

  • Improved Accuracy: These advanced meters reduce the chance of billing errors and provide precise readings.
  • Enhanced Convenience: Meter readings will be collected remotely, eliminating the need for manual checks.
  • Better Insights: Future upgrades may allow you to track water usage online, helping you conserve water and save money.

What to Expect

  1. Minimal Disruption: The process typically takes less than 30 minutes. Your water service may be temporarily interrupted during installation.

Important Notice About Antennas

The new meters include small antennas for radio-read functionality. These antennas are a vital part of the system, and it is important to avoid damaging them. If an antenna is damaged due to customer actions (e.g., landscaping, construction, or other activities near the meter), the customer will be responsible for the cost of replacement.

No Additional Cost for Installation

This upgrade comes at no additional cost to you, as part of our commitment to improving service.
